From Sullivan to Social Media: How Journalism, Media Literacy and the First Amendment Rise and Fall Together

Introduction to Web Development Workshop

Nov 6, 2026 2:00pm - 3:00pm
University Library: 168

Flyer for Intro to Web Development workshop, featuring HTML and CSS browser graphics, with dates October 29 from 1–2 p.m. and November 6 from 2–3 p.m. at CSUN University Library. Includes a QR code to sign up.

This Fall, the Library's Web Development team, in partnership with the CMS, are introducing the first Web Development workshop! This workshop focuses on introducing the basics of a webpage to anyone who has any interest in learning to make their own webpage or in understanding how webpages work.

We will go over HTML and CSS, the two languages used to create the structure and presentation of web pages. We will learn the important elements used in HTML and their semantic use, while taking accessibility into consideration. Similarly, we will look at how to "prettify" your page with CSS, and the rules you need to follow to create your very first webpage! No previous knowledge is required, all you need is your curiosity and a browser!

Two sessions will be held at UL 168 in the 1st floor of the University Library. Join us today!

Be sure to check out our other CMS Workshops as well to learn other useful skills!
