USGS Historical Topographic Map Collection

The CSUN Map Collection is part of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) and contains approximately 200,000 government maps from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the National Park Service (NPS), and the Army Map Service (AMS), among others. Government document maps include topographic, bathymetric, planimetric, and land management maps. The government documents map collection is organized by state and scale.

Access to government document maps is guaranteed by public law (Title 44 United States Code). To access the collection, please contact Map Library staff. Read more about the FDLP.
